Meet the Team

Mr Keith Burns FBDO
Keith is a qualified Optician and the Managing Director of Silver & Rose. He has been in optics since 1979 and is a member of The Association of British Dispensing Opticians. Keith has a keen interest in music and community affairs. He admits to having a constant battle with his weight and has recently joined a local gym where he was going well until they installed a new machine which the manager said was tailor-made for him. "It was great!" said Keith. "You could get crisps, Kit-Kats and coke out of it!"

Mr Terry O'Regan
BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Terry, who joined the Practice in 2006, has a degree in Optometry. Terry has taken part in various Health Authority eye screening programmes. When not at work Terry likes to spend time with his young family, and is a very keen sportsman. He trains in self-defence and running. He won his last fight by 200 metres!

Lynda Atherton
Senior Receptionist
Lynda has been with us since 1996 and is our full time Receptionist / Dispensing Assistant. Her hobbies include keeping fit, ballroom dancing, and enjoying time with her four grandchildren. Her best kept secret is that she has a famous younger brother who she is very proud of. (Whoops, sorry Lynda!)

Suzanne Cain
Receptionist
Suzanne is our part-time Receptionist / Optical Assistant. She enjoys the style and fashion element of her job and is always keen to help with frame selection. Suzanne lives and was brought up in Formby and is well known in the area. She recently read an upsetting article about the ageing effect which chocolate and wine have on young women and has vowed that as from next week, "That's it - no more reading!"

Mr Paul Burns
Paul is the newest member of the team. Paul works part-time while continuing with his studies. In his spare time Paul is a keen guitar player who, despite his tender years, has already played at The Cavern and numerous other local venues.

Richard Clements
Optical Techician
Our Laboratory Technician, Richard has been involved with Optics for many years. He is competent in the glazing and repair of spectacles and enjoys keeping up-to-date with the progress of lens design and manufacturing techniques. In his spare time he enjoys playing the guitar, ranging from classical to jazz. He has many requests, but carrys on undeterred!
