Silver & Rose provide comprehensive eye examinations including retinal photography. Any eye examination is a vital health check - it's not just simply to see if you need a visual correction. A thorough eye examination will not only reveal the health of your eyes, but it will also provide important information about your health.

In addition to checking for cataracts, glaucoma, colour blindness and your health problems, such as high blood pressure and diabetes. In fact, an eye examination can often pick up these problems before symptoms become apparent, thus enabling you to benefit from early treatment.

We recommend that you have a thorough eye examination every 1-2 years. Pre-school children should be examined every 6 months and people of 70 years and older should be examined annually so any age related changes can be detected. This is currently funded by the NHS.
